Since my website is down and under construction. I figured to use this blog site to put my work out there. Currently, I am working on new ideas and shooting new photographs to add to my new website. I have been searching, creating, and trying to hone my thoughts together to create a compelling body of work. In this journey I am finding out more and more about myself and what I want to do with my life, creatively and personally. I have to be honest and its been such a great journey so far. Within the coming weeks I will be posting a few selected work, but for now enjoy the photographs...Stay tuned and enjoy!

The Odyssey.

Something is really off with the way stars are aligning in the universe. I know the path, "like the back of my hands". I know where my river flows, how deep the my ocean is, and even know the height of the my mountain. I know where to go! But why is it that I can't move from where I am at? It seems as though this gravitational pull is so powerful that it leaves me stationary.
I have walked the road, swam in the river and ocean, and even made the  climbed up the mountain. But why can't I move. I can't even take a single step. I'm stuck! My universe is not aligning to what I see it to be. It's not like I am not waiting for anyone. I want to make the step, but somehow everyone is passing me by, like my life is in super slow motion. I want my life to keep moving again. I want to keep walking the road and even run perhaps, swimming the river and the ocean, and climb the mountain.

What is happening? Its true in life, we have our ups and downs. One day we are at out highest high then the next we are in our highest lows. Like a roller coaster ride, ups and downs twist and turns like in Homer's The Odyssey. Its an epic story, to which we hold on to our goals, dreams, loves, in hope to overcome the trials and tribulations of the journey. In the story the protagonist took 10 years to make it home after the Trojan War. In those struggles, he battled mythical creatures and faced the wrath of the Gods. He continued on his journey to make it home to his wife and son. Ten years of struggles and the ups and downs of the journey, he made it home because in his heart, he has passion, a goal he needs to reach. He just kept on going. With this in mind, I just have to keep hoping and believing that life is always better on the other side, and to follow my dreams even if it takes me awhile to get there.

Chance encounters...

In my previous blog, I touched upon chance encounters. Through the course of our lives we come upon/ encounter/ hit a bump on the road/ meet that special someone, whatever it is...these little encounters are part of our daily lives. Sometimes even so small and minute, that we dismiss the moment and not even think about it. Chance encounters play an important role in our lives, even shape the course of everything.
Sometimes, we even look for chance encounters. We hope for that ray of light, the light at the end of the tunnel, the happy accidents, and for a better outcome. Everyone goes through difficulties in life and some go through life without facing such difficulties. Its all on how faith, and how the stars align within our moment in time, and even how the dice roll. We can all relate to the struggles and the bounty of happiness when it comes our way. But chance encounters are there for us to see what else is around. Right? We often spend a lot of our time working towards something that we longed for, but often enough times that what we are working for is completely clouded by some force of nature that steer us away to a completely different direction. For better or for worst. We just need to surround ourselves with positivity and completely reject all the negatives that will cloud our judgement and our decisions.
So, here a question..The events and moments that led us to where our lives are at this moment, have they been the cause of these chance encounters? Its hard to believe/ think about the actions/decisions we choose and the steps we take...Can it all be related to chance encounters? Think about it. If, for instance, we come across a fork in the road, (like Robert Frost's The Road Not Taken), how do we decide which road to take? Can it also be tied to destiny and faith. How do we know? I maybe contradicting myself here, but in reality, how do we know?.
By choosing the right path for us we weight the pros and cons of the outcome. Where the road leads, what will we encounter in the road we choose, we ask so many questions and we try to find answers. But what if some of us are impulsive and spontaneous? But reality speaking, we choose the path that will lead us to the best outcome. Correct? What if we are wrong?

This is just what is in my head. Chance encounters with decisions and people have shaped me and have molded me. My thoughts are all over the place here. You might get lost in reading it, but I just need to write it down. I just wanted to touch upon chance encounters. So Enjoy.

lingering thoughts...

This was written January 2009, I found it and thought I should share something, a little bit of me. Not that anyone else is going to care or even read it. Its something I want to share and this thought has been lingering in my head for quite some time. So, I figured that by sharing this it will somehow go away from my head. So, here it is...

"Lots have happened this year yet again. Chance encounters, missing engagements, and achieving some goals. I have been fortunate enough to have the chance to do the things I am able to do and I have simply accomplished some of my goals. The year have brought much anticipation, excitement, desperation and inspirations. I have the chance to live another year and I am able to do it the way I want to. This year, although I say this every year, have made me grow up yet again. I am almost done with school, 6 more months, and I am at awed at all the things I have been presented with. I have the chance to meet new amazing people, and seem to communicate with older friends. I have the chance to travel to Europe and be with family and experience the European living, even though its only for 3 weeks. I am happy and I am thrilled at what the year has brought to my life. Chance encounters! This has ultimately been the story of my life. I have many chances and I am able to achieve them through hard work and through me. I have missed out on some chances but that's OK. It wasn't meant to be. I have experienced certain things that I never though would be possible. I have changed my eating habits and I am still living a spontaneous lifestyle. Living on the edge not so much caring much about other things other than myself. The new year will bring much more things. Like graduation, I hope for more chance encounters and to be living my life to its fullest. The new year will be amazing because I will be able to be out in the world and not think about school or other school related things. I will have more time to give to myself and family."
